The largest mural from the Pennsylvania Farm© Tile Line can be seen in the kitchen scenes with actress Sandra Bullock in the Academy Award Winning landmark film, Crash, 2004. Made in my California studio and sold thru Waterworks, and other high end tile showrooms across the US during the years 1997-2008. This mural was installed into the home of the director of the movie Crash, Paul Haggis. The home was sold in 2014 for 8.5 million with the mural behind the stove top, and more than likely still installed in the heart of the home. It is a very special mural and would have sold retail in 2004 for $7246.00. This is the last and only one left, and includes free shipping and handling worldwide. It is signed by the artist. It has been crated and stored for the last 18 years. There will never be another one.
The painting is in the majolica technique, is extremely durable, kiln fired with a high gloss glaze at 1860 degrees It will never fade or discolor with direct sunlight, it cannot be scratched and can be used inside or outside in temperate climates, it will last forever.
This spectacular tile mural was made to be installed into the wall space behind a grand cook area or stove top in your kitchen. The art and quality of this mural will add incredible beauty and esthetic value to your home. The molding tiles framing this mural enable you to install around it (for the surrounding field or backsplash areas) mostly any type of tile (ceramic, stone, glass, cement, wood, metal), and any size of tile including its thickness. As long as the field tiles you choose are not as thick as the moldings you’ll be fine. And most all tiles available in the market today would work for you.
The mural is number coded for easy installation and stamped and signed by the artist. Picture 6 and 7 – red arrow shows a very small chipped corner ** (same chip) does not affect in any way the integrity or beauty of the mural, still a primo piece. It is the last one. If you want the black check liners showing in one picture, just say so and they will be shipped with the mural and large half rounds all pre cut for easy installation.
This is 1/1 - "one of a kind" and will not be reproduced again - there were several of these painted and sold through Waterworks, this is the last one.
The purchase of this piece of art plants 500 trees in the new owners name or their recipients name where they are needed the most through onetreeplanted.org
