28Th Vassar Showcase 1994 Mural is 34"h x 60"w including the 4+3/8" wooden 3 tier framing

This was the stove-top tile mural in the Vassar Designer Show House in the Philadelphia area in spring of 1994. Information of the mural was published in the Philadelphia Inquirer on May 6th- May 13th and May 20th 1994, some articles included pictures of the mural.

At the time just prior to becoming a Designer Showcase, the home was the Van Pelt Estate and displayed large portrait paintings from the Civil War in Valley Forge.

It is part of the artists personal collection and has been stored for the last 28 years, and is a masterpiece of fine art on ceramic tile.

This striking Colonial Farmhouse built in 1927 (c. 1927); designed by Architect R. Brognard Okie features 9 bedrooms, 10 fireplaces, 6 full baths and 2 half baths, a 4 car garage with 8,184 s/f of living space on 3 acres. Built with the finest of building materials, including wrought iron & brass hardware, old world stucco, sturdy wood shutters, and three verandas, it is a masterpiece of architecture with a private and idyllic setting.

The purchase of this piece of art plants 1000 trees in the new owners name or their recipients name where they are needed the most through onetreeplanted.org

It is painted in majolica underglaze on white bisque with a high gloss clear glaze over and fired to 1860 degrees. It is extremely durable, will never fade, discolor or scratch. It will last forever.

It is one of the first pieces of fine art the artist created on ceramic tile. It comes with a very sturdy two tier wooden frame and measures 34"high x 60" wide.

This is 1/1 - "one of a kind" was the only one EVER painted - there will never be another.
