Mission San Juan Capistrano Writing Cards / Small Prints
(5) - 5" x 5" cards/small prints with 5 envelopes
This historical rendering for the major artwork, the Mission San Juan Capistrano Mural, comes out of one the most memorable projects Jamie Santaniello has ever designed and executed. Prior to starting production of the ceramic mural tiles, Santaniello made this rendering for review and it was approved by all parties including the City Council of San Juan Capistrano and the Historical Society of San Juan Capistrano, with some of its members being Juanēno Indians or Acjachemen.
Its illustration, inspired from various resources, is a scene showing what life may have been like at the mission in the early part of 1813. Since the Bell Tower and the Great Stone Church were destroyed by the 1812 earthquake, and a new bell wall or Campanario was not yet completed, the "Ringing of the Bells" by the Indian boy was an artistic impression by the artist to represent the sounding of the bells for the changing activities and events of the day.
These high quality small prints or cards are created on watercolor paper and qualifies them to be beautiful keepsakes worthy of framing and hanging on a wall.
